About
Beauty has never felt superficial to me.
It has always felt necessary.
I create paintings and sculptures that grow from intuition rather than plans. Each work begins with a feeling that is difficult to describe in words and gradually finds its own visual language through colour, movement, texture and symbolism.
My work explores transformation, imagination and the quiet strength that often hides beneath vulnerability. Rather than illustrating reality, I create spaces where wonder, hope and resilience can exist together. They are not places to escape life, but invitations to experience it differently.
Over the years I have come to understand that imagination can be one of our greatest strengths. It allows us to keep seeing beauty, possibility and light, even when life becomes complicated. That belief quietly runs through everything I create.
Whether I am painting or sculpting, I want each piece to offer a moment of stillness. A place where viewers can pause, breathe and perhaps recognize something of themselves.
If my work leaves someone with a sense of comfort, courage or wonder, then it has fulfilled its purpose.
Biography
Helga Renders is a Belgian visual artist working across painting and sculpture.
She is a self taught acrylic painter and has been expanding her practice through oil painting and mixed media studies at the Milan Art Institute since 2024.
As a sculptor, she completed a six year education at the Academy of Visual Arts in Herentals, graduating in 2025.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Grenada, the Netherlands and Belgium. It has received several awards and has been featured in international publications.
